Student Grant Program

ATTENTION: Student Grant applications are now being accepted.

The Research Foundation, a division of APIC, provides grant funding for graduate students in the health sciences, to support a mentored research project in the field of infection prevention and control.  The student must identify an infection control professional (ICP) to serve as a mentor in the practice setting in which the study will take place.  Funds are granted for research studies to be completed within one year; however, proposals with timelines and budgets exceeding one year's duration may also be submitted for special consideration.  Three awards in the amount of $5,000 each are available.  Consideration may be given to proposals for larger amounts, but applicants must provide convincing budget justification for amounts in excess of $5,000.  Interested applicants can access grant information below or send an email toresearchfoundation@apic.org for more information.  Deadline for fall student grant applications is October 1, 2008.
