Welcome to APIC Family – a resource for children, teens, parents, and educators on the ins and outs of infection control.

In today’s fast-paced world it can be difficult to be with your children and teens at all times to protect them against infectious disease. Our goal is to educate and inspire children to pursue wellness by implementing infection control practices, such as handwashing and cough etiquette into their daily routine. Excellence in Curriculum Integration through Teaching Epidemiology (EXCITE) is a collection of teaching materials developed by the CDC to introduce students to public health and epidemiology, the science used by "Disease Detectives" everywhere. Students will learn about the scientific method of inquiry, basic biostatistics, and outbreak investigation.
