Professional and Practice Standards

Professional and practice standards define conditions that, if satisfied, will increase the likelihood that high-quality infection control practice will be provided. The standards may be applied to a broad spectrum of practice settings. They provide the basis for planning educational programs designed to facilitate the ICP's ability to achieve the standards, as well as address career advancement objectives.
