February 18, 2008 : As you may have heard or
read, the Joint Commission has recently requested feedback regarding
their 2009 NPSG. While APIC Headquarters is sending a letter on behalf
of the infection prevention profession, we believe it would be even more
meaningful if ICPs also provided their feedback via
the questionnaire located at the following link: www.surveyconsole.com/console/TakeSurvey?id=422725,
whereas it is extremely important that the Joint Commission hear from
front-line professionals, as well as from their professional
association.
Recognizing how busy your schedules are, APIC Headquarters has provided
you with suggested key comments (see below) that may assist you in your
response to these potential patient safety goals. Before you begin
answering this questionnaire, here are a few things you need to know
about this survey tool:
- The survey gathers two types of information: demographic information
and your responses about the NPSG(s).
- If you find that you cannot complete the survey in one sitting,
please be assured it can be saved and returned to at a later point in
time.
