Contact Hours

One contact hour = 60 minutes. The maximum number of contact hours for this activity is based on 795 minutes divided by 60.  APIC is approved for providing continuing nursing education by the California Board of Nursing, provider number CEP 7146.  The maximum number of nursing contact hours that can be earned for this conference is 13.25. This educational activity is recognized by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as meeting the criteria for 13.25 hours of CMLE credit. ASCP CMLE credit hours are acceptable to meet the continuing education requirement for the ASCP Board of Registry Certification Maintenance Program.

The epidemiology of Clostridium difficile associated disease (CDAD) is changing with severe cases of CDAD occurring in populations previously thought to be at low risk.
