Three compounding pharmacies have issued recall notices due to a lack of sterility assurance and concerns with the quality control process. Green Valley Drugs, ApotheCure, and NuVision Pharmacy have all issued recalls of their product, although there have been no reports of injury or illness associated with use of the recalled products. The Food and Drug Administration has asked Congress for expanded oversight powers for compounding pharmacies.
