In 2010, APIC’s International section was created with the needs of its international members in mind. In addition to information and knowledge, International section members are provided with tools and resources to assist them in sharing and actively implementing infection prevention best practices and knowledge. Members of the International section can become more involved in APIC through various networking and collaboration opportunities. The section also serves as a vehicle for international members to work together and with APIC to identify the gaps in meeting the needs of infection preventionists and other healthcare professionals outside of the United States.
