Partnership in Prevention Award – Accepting applications from April 1 to July 1, 2013

APIC is pleased to partner with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America to award the 2013 Partnership in Prevention Award.

The purpose of the award is to highlight and promote the work of one U.S. hospital that has achieved sustained reductions in healthcare-associated infections based on the concepts of the “National Action Plan to Prevent Healthcare-Associated Infections: Roadmap to Elimination” and is helping to achieve the goals outlined in the HHS Partnership for Patients.

This award is meant to demonstrate that wide-scale reduction and progress toward the elimination of healthcare-associated infections are truly possible when multidisciplinary teams work together. The program will showcase a team that involves executive leaders, clinical leaders, infection prevention experts, and others.
